I'm a Berlin based photographer, a petrol head with a couple of screws loose. I also go by the name Vivek.
Originally from India, I've been in Europe for about a decade now. I work as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer in the automotive industry. Ironically, I have no intentions of using the machines that I build.
My true passion lies behind a lens, capturing the beauty of cars, especially old-timers. What draws me to it, is the deep emotional connect that people share with their vehicles. Cars to me have always been more than machines. They're mirrors of their eras, telling tales about the societies that built them. And in a world, that's losing this essence, preserving and documenting what remains has become that much more important. After all, they don't make 'em like they used to.
I have an innate desire to shoot motorsports. I've been an official photographer for Formula Student Germany for years as part of its incredible media team and a stand-in photographer for DTM-BMW Walkenhorst Motorsports.
When I am not chasing cars or the smell of petrol, I find myself drawn towards shapes, shadows, quiet places of the mundane everyday life.
